Gold tool discovered leaves archaelogists stamped.Archaeologists in Jerusalem have been unable to determine the use or purpose of an 8.5 kilogram gold tool discovered in a Jerusalem cemetery.

The object was found  six months ago and the first suspicion was that it would be an explosive device, says The Guardian. The police were called to the cemetery and the bomb disarmament team proceeded to a controlled explosion of the object but this one was absolutely intact. After that, the Israeli Antiquities Authority technicians undertook several examinations, analyzing the constitution of their materials, and could not come to any conclusions. Is it a piece of the covenant ark? Or any mechanism out of place and time? There are dozens and more dozens of examples of this kind of anomaly, enough to cause discomfort in traditional scientific disciplines. But since these anomalies do not fit into conventional theories, they become exceptions to the rule, and are usually almost always rejected. Living off the grid is a dream for many people, although few ever actually try to do it for any length of time. Most people assume that becoming self-sufficient would either be extremely expensive to set up initially or that the sacrifices to their lifestyles would be too great to make it worthwhile. A couple from Bisbee, Arizona, however, has managed to build an entire house for only $30,000 and now live without any mortgage, water, gas or electricity bills. In fact, the only bills that they still have to pay now are internet costs and property taxes, both of which are essentially unavoidable.

 ARIZONA COUPLE BUILD OFF-GRID HOUSE FOR $30,000 
The couple Karen and Bob, both in their fifties, decided to try the project several years ago and completed their 600 square foot house just 18 months later. As might be expected of people living off-grid, most of the items inside their home have been reused, gifted or salvaged. They are also providing a lot of their own food after becoming expert vegetable and fruit growers. The house itself is made primarily from cob, straw, and plaster and many of the other building materials were either bought cheaply from Craigslist or given to the couple. As well as their house the couple also has two trailers on the property which were donated and are used by guests, and the bathroom walls were created using sheet metal. The most costly parts of the house were, in fact, the solar panels that the couple uses to heat their water and the septic system meaning that unlike many off-grid systems, the couple has a complete working plumbing system. Speaking about the key to making projects like their succeed, Bob said: “We did everything out of money saved, and then we sold half of our 60 acres when we needed more money. … Many people aim too high, and end up getting divorced or having a house that is simply too big to maintain, ” A video tour of the house can be found here: 

 Indeed the majority of self-sufficiency and off-grid projects shown in the mainstream media today tend to have been undertaken by wealthy individuals with high budgets out of reach of most people. Often giving the self-sufficiency movement an elitist appearance to those who only tend to see it represented on television. Despite the mixed views of the public on off grid living, however, the movement as a whole is gaining popularity in many countries. The idea of living debt free and without having to pay the majority of the bills most people are forced to pay for their entire lives is a very appealing one to many people. MINNESOTA WOMAN SURVIVE BEING FROZEN ALIVE.

  Literature brims with stories of ‘medical marvels’, most of which tend to have a perfectly reasonable and often mundane story behind them, but some medical marvels are the real deal. Of these genuine medical miracles perhaps none is as fantastical and truly astonishing as the story of Jean Hilliard. from Minnesota.
  Hilliard a 19 year old woman,  was on route to a friend’s house in the winter of 1980 in the snowy state of Minnesota when her car skidded off onto an isolated gravel road. In the middle of nowhere, and with no vehicle, Hilliard had no choice but to brave the treacherous journey to her friend’s house which entailed walking for several miles in sub-zero temperatures as the snow lay thick on the ground. She made a valiant effort, but eventually, the snow proved to be too much for her, and she collapsed on the ground a mere sixteen feet from her intended destination 

When her friend, Nelson, opened the door at one o’clock in the morning he discovered Hilliard’s body. He said that she was quite literally frozen solid and as white as a ghost. He called the ambulance, and she was immediately admitted to hospital. The doctors assessed Hilliard when she arrived, but she was so cold that normal thermometers were failing to even register a reading. They estimated that her temperature had fallen below -30 degrees Celsius and her heart rate had sunk to under twelve beats a minute. They couldn’t even insert a needle to aggressively heat her body because her veins had constricted to such an extent in the freezing cold temperatures. Instead, the medical staff wrapped her in a thermal blanket and simply hoped for the best. The doctors were gloomy about the prognosis. Even if she managed to survive, which they considered deeply unlikely, it was thought that Hilliard had suffered such extreme damage that she would have to be given a double limb amputation and she would suffer severe brain damage. Then twelve hours later, something astonishing happened. Hilliard regained consciousness and asked for a glass of water. By that same evening, she had regained control of her hands and arms, and after three days she was able to walk again. After less than a week in an intensive care unit, she was discharged from the hospital. The doctors said that they couldn’t find any evidence whatsoever that her brush with death had caused her any long-term internal or external damage. How Hilliard managed to recover so quickly still baffles medical professionals to this day. As one of her doctors, Dr. George Sather said, “I can’t explain why she is alive."

Temple Curved Out of a Mountain.

Kailasa Temple in Ellora Caves Temple was carved out of a mountain.

    In what could be the next wonder of the world, archaeologists have recently unearthed a temple that ancients have carved out of a mountain rock. Located in Elora, Maharashtra, India, the temple is known as The Kailasa Temple. Some name it the Kailash. The Kailasa temple is dedicated to the Hindu faith and was ordered to be built by King Krishna I of the Rashtrakuta dynasty in ancient India.
 It forms part of a temple complex of 34 cave temples which were of similar construct.


 THE CONSTRUCTION
What has boggled and amazed scientists is the construction of the temple. Unlike many temples that were built from ground up, the Kailasa temple was carved out straight from the rock of a mountain. To add further amazement, a staggering 400,000 tonnes of rock were excavated and hauled out. During the construction of the temple.
The temple originated around 8th century A.D, and it is intriguing that technology of the period could have contributed to such a momentous construction task. One may wonder at the scope of the construction and estimate the temple to be completed after many decades or centuries. However, the temple only took less than 18 years to finish, according to scientific estimates. It was estimated that 60 tonnes of rock were being removed every day during temple's construction phase. The temple workers laboured for 12 hours a day hauling at least 5 tonnes of rock out from the mountain per hour. Scientists still have not fully figured out the constructions methods used in conjunction with the tools available during the period and were left baffled at the scope of the operation. 


ARCHITECTURE
The Kailasa temple is part of a complex of 34 monasteries and temples which span over an area of 2 kilometres. As they were all cut out of the mountainside, they are collectively known as the Elora caves, carved out from a basalt cliff. The temple has a height of 98 feet, was 109 feet wide, and had a depth of 164 feet. This makes it possibly one of the biggest known structures of its kind on the planet. The entrance of the temple faces the west. What is remarkable about the entrance is the degree of accuracy of its facing, giving it a 270-275 degree on a compass.
A 2 storey gateway adorns the entrance to the temple, which further leads to a U-shaped courtyard. The temple is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, and deities of both lords align the interior of the temple. Three storey arcades line the perimeter of the courtyard and showcase many sculptures and panels of marvellous beauty and design. Complex and majestic staircases and bridges link the many different areas of the temple together, adding to the splendour of the place.


BUILT BY EXTRATERRESTRIALS?

    As mentioned before, the time when the temple was built and the available technology of the period coupled with the time it took to build and the momentous scope of the construction had left many baffled. The entire feat would be extremely difficult if not impossible to achieve at that time. However, the video below reveals a theory which may offer an explanation, that extraterrestrials gave a hand in the construction of this temple.

Stephen Hawking thinks that extra-terrestrial contact might be a bad thing for planet Earth.

  Following NASA’s breakthrough announcement about the discovery of incredibly promising exoplanets which might be home to intelligent forms of extra-terrestrial life, one might have expected the renowned theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking to have met the news with happiness. After all, Hawking is heavily involved in the Breakthrough Listen project which is one of the most dynamic and progressive projects searching the universe for intelligent life. However, Hawking has a much gloomier view of the possibility of interaction with extra-terrestrials than one might expect. Speaking to the Discovery Channel in 2010, Hawking said that it was likely that advanced aliens would probably be a nomadic race who would travel the universe conquering and colonize whatever planets they encountered. “If so, it makes sense for them to exploit each new planet for material to build more spaceships so they could move on. Who knows what the limits would be?” he asked. Hawking doubled down on these pessimistic statements at a Breakthrough Listen event. He said: “We don’t know much about aliens, but we know about humans. If you look at history, contact between humans and less intelligent organisms have often been disastrous from their point of view, and encounters between civilizations with advanced versus primitive technologies have gone badly for the less advanced. A civilization reading one of our messages could be billions of years ahead of us. If so, they will be vastly more powerful, and may not see us as any more valuable than we see bacteria.”
     However, according to Jill Tarter, the former director of the Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) this type of thinking is overly cynical. She said that “If aliens were to come here, it would be simply to explore. Considering the age of the universe, we probably wouldn’t be their first extra-terrestrial encounter, either.” However, she did concede that this was no guarantee that the aliens would respond positively to us. Essentially, she said, there is absolutely no way to know what an advanced alien race would do in response to human civilization.
